(More customer reviews)I've been wanting to add speakers outside by the pool, but it was going to be difficult to run all the speaker wire. Instead I got the transactive mobile and I am very happy with it. I was surprised at how much power it has. I can set it on the pool deck and hear the sound perfectly on the other side of the pool (40' away) with the volume not even turned up half way. It works with my iPod classic and all the iPods the kids own so anyone can put in their music. You can even charge your iPod from the built in rechargeable battery. It also has an auxillary input with RCA jacks so I was able to hook up my portable XM radio and listen to XM too.
The rechargeable battery lasts a long time. I've used it over 12 hours and the charge is still good. It has a battery indicator with 3 green lights and one red light when you need to charge it. After 12 hours, I still have 2 out of 3 green lights lit up.
You can also use it as an amp for a guitar. My son has hooked up his bass guitar and played along with the various songs playing from his iPod. Plus it comes with a microphone so you can sing along too. It's the ultimate karoke machine (if you know the words) with someone playing guitar while another person sings.
It has a retractable handle and wheels like a suitcase so it is very easy to move it around. You will be very happy if you get this product.
